About The Position

Join our team as a CT/X-Ray Technologist and play a vital role in helping physicians diagnose and treat patients through advanced imaging technology. As a CT/X-Ray Technologist, you'll combine technical expertise with compassionate patient care to deliver high-quality diagnostic images that directly impact patient outcomes. Working alongside radiologists and healthcare professionals, you'll utilize state-of-the-art imaging equipment while helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their experience.

Requirements

ARRT Certification required.
Illinois State IEMA Certification required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

CT Registry preferred.
Two years of experience as a staff technologist preferred but not required.
Illinois State IEMA Certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Perform CT and X-ray imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate imaging and patient comfort.
Explain procedures and answer patient questions to create a positive experience.
Produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining radiation safety standards.
Apply the principles of radiation protection and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) in all imaging procedures.
Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness before submission.
Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking while performing imaging procedures.
Assist with troubleshooting and routine maintenance of imaging equipment.
Accurately document patient information and imaging records.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
