About The Position

Under the direction of the department manager or designee, the CT/RAD Tech III performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to support proper radiologic diagnosis. The position performs CT and radiology procedures using specialized equipment, as well as routine diagnostic procedures, to provide quality radiographic images. It also involves technical duties related to the CT scanner, including developing, initiating, training, and monitoring procedures for effective use of the scanner and other portable and stationary X-ray units in the radiology department.

Requirements

• Associate of Arts degree in Radiology Technology or completion of an equivalent approved A.M.A. program.
• CRT License and Fluoroscopy Permit.
• Valid California State Certification License in unlimited diagnostic radiology services.
• ARRT License.
• Current MAB and BLS.
• Experience caring for patients of all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of three years of radiologic experience and special procedures experience is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience performing CT or previous acute hospital experience is preferred.
• CT Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a CT/Radiology Technologist and execute required special procedures in the radiology department using specialized equipment.
• Perform routine diagnostic procedures to provide quality radiographic images.
• Perform technical duties involving the CT scanner and other portable and stationary X-ray units.
• Develop, initiate, train, and monitor procedures for effective utilization of radiology equipment.
• Perform interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis.
