About The Position

Puget Sound Energy's Generation & Natural Gas Storage team is seeking qualified candidates to fill an open CT Journey Worker position. This role involves inspecting, operating, and maintaining generation plant electrical and mechanical equipment, with a specific focus on combustion turbines, steam turbines, and/or combined cycle generation facilities. The facility is located in Longview, WA. The individual will fulfill a role in either Operations or Maintenance, depending on the plant's needs. This job is considered "safety sensitive" and is subject to pre-employment drug screening.

Requirements

Completed a recognized combustion turbine apprenticeship program or its equivalent
Proficient in using the tools and equipment of the trade as related to combustion turbine work
Ability to communicate effectively with others
Possess a valid driver’s license
Obtain and maintain a First Aid, CPR and AED Certificate
Obtain and maintain lift truck certification
Working knowledge and compliance with all Company standards, policies, practices, procedures and State and Federal regulations as they pertain to the job

Responsibilities

Construct, install, inspect, operate and maintain generation plant electrical and mechanical equipment, especially as it applies to combustion turbines, internal combustion engines, steam and/or combined cycle generation facilities
Drive and operate equipment. Perform similar and incidental duties as required
Respond to plant emergencies
Work irregular work schedules and overtime hours
Qualify and progress from Outside Operator to Control Room Operator
