Pay Range: $23.09 - $30.01 Position Overview SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job) Decontaminate, assemble and sterilize surgical instrumentation. Performs all decontamination functions for surgical instrumentation and equipment using proper infection control techniques. Follows manufacturer's recommendations and AAMI, AORN, and Joint Commission standards. Performs the assembly of surgical instrumentation and equipment and prepares them for sterilization. Able to utilize features of computerized tray tracking system. Correctly selects appropriate sterilizer method and parameters. Assembles surgical case carts. Maintains clean and safe work environment. Manages instrument inventory to assure timely distribution of instruments to the operating room. Precepts new employees and acts as a resource person.
