About The Position

Serve as the first point of contact for patients and families, greeting them warmly, providing wayfinding assistance, and answering inquiries. Accurately schedule medical appointments, procedures, and tests. Manage patient check-ins and verify demographic and insurance information. Actively research and resolve telephone and in-person inquiries related to billing, medical records, and scheduling. Enter data efficiently into the hospital’s electronic health records system. Manage MyChart messages and assist with patient portals. Coordinate with triage nurses, clinical teams, and billing departments to ensure a smooth patient transition and resolve any roadblocks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of years of customer service or high-volume call center experience.
  • Prior data entry and scheduling experience are highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers and hospital software (Epic Beaker or similar EMR systems) is a significant advantage.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, a compassionate and empathetic demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital environment.
