About The Position

JDS Energy & Mining is seeking an experienced CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) Superintendent to support the safe and efficient execution of field construction activities across mining and energy projects. This role works closely with project management, engineering, contractors, and field teams to ensure all CSA-related work is executed in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and safety standards. The CSA Superintendent plays a critical role in coordinating daily construction activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring quality and productivity targets are met. This position is responsible for translating construction plans into effective field execution while maintaining strict adherence to safety, environmental, and operational requirements. This is a site-based, fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) position working a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (2x2) rotation. Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all Civil, Structural, and Architectural construction activities on site
  • Provide full contractor management and oversight for: Batch plant operations Piling works Concrete installation scopes
  • Ensure all work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards
  • Lead and manage subcontractors and field crews to achieve safe, efficient, and high-quality execution
  • Monitor daily construction progress and productivity, identifying and resolving constraints or delays
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and project controls teams to align field execution with project schedules and deliverables
  • Ensure proper work sequencing and integration with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, piping)
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements
  • Support the development of short-term work plans and lookahead schedules
  • Identify and manage field changes, RFIs, and non-conformance issues
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all activities comply with site safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in daily coordination meetings and clearly communicate progress, risks, and priorities to project leadership
