About The Position

The CS Technician will be responsible for assembling electrical components and complex wiring layouts into an Enclosure. This role involves reading schematics and blueprints, wiring and routing cable harnesses, and troubleshooting panel boards. The technician will use various hand tools and fasteners, and must maintain high performance standards in terms of quality, quantity, attitude, teamwork, and communication. Collaboration with engineers for design clarification and updates to shop folders is also a key part of the role. Maintaining a clean and organized work area compliant with 5S Standards is required. Overtime may be necessary based on business needs, and other tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

Aptitude to read schematics and blueprints required.
Demonstrated mechanical ability
Prior experience in a "technician" role.
Possess good communication skills and an ability to adapt to changing situations
Ability to perform job to safety, quality and delivery expectations
Attention to Detail

Electrical / Panel Building experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assembles and lays out components on a system according to the design specifications.
Wires and routes cable harnesses in an electrical cabinet as per the wiring schematic.
Performs hand wiring in some cabinets.
Verifies and troubleshoots panel boards using a multi-meter to verify continuity.
Uses various hand tools, torque tools, screwdrivers, crimpers, cutters and wire strippers.
Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, rivets or other fasteners.
Maintains performance standards at a high level, including work quality and quantity, attitude, ability to work as a team member and communicating in a positive manner.
Communicates with Engineers to clarify any issues or relay any corrections or changes to the electrical design.
Responsible for updating shop folder with assembly and test data.
Maintains, organizes, and cleans work area compliant with 5S Standards.
Performs overtime as required for short term or long term duration, as business needs mandate.
Performs other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned.
