The CS Sales Operations Manager will manage the implementation, administration, and functional daily activities of the Sales Operations department. This includes business quoting activities, proposal management, and sales business guidelines in alignment with Customer Support P&L and revenue expectations. The role provides leadership and direction for direct reports and works closely with all worldwide Product Support business units to assist in closing sales and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Sales Force - CPQ Software knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills, driving team performance, engagement, and accountability
  • Proven expertise in Sales processes
  • Expertise in Customer Support quoting processes and pricing strategies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and margin alignment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Science, Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 8 years aviation, sales, or quality experience with at least two (2) years experience managing professional level employees or program/ process management.
  • Computer literate and proficient.
  • Basic selling and negotiating skills along with a professional demeanor.
  • Knowledge of the business aircraft marketplace.
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • CRM software and process experience preferred.
  • Familiarization with Lean Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to direct reports to resolve any issues in order to consistently provide our customer with a complete, accurate and competitive proposal.
  • Provide guidance to direct reports to resolve problematic situations.
  • Coordinate closely with all site management to represent the Sales Operations department in a professional manner and collaborate with other departments to improve overall business teamwork and cooperation.
  • Work with site VP/General Managers to ensure a positive business rapport between the Sales Operations department and other internal support groups.
  • Ensure the department stays within its annual budget.
  • Work closely with the worldwide CS Regional Sales Team including Sales Directors to maintain a professional relationship between all team members.
  • Resolve any issues regarding this relationship in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all Gulfstream quoting processes, procedures and guidelines.
  • Prepare weekly reports for management that accurately portray the state of our Product Support business.
  • Establish yearly organizational goals and training requirements and monitor performance to ensure goals are met.
  • Evaluate employees and write their performance evaluations on an annual basis.
  • Assist in the hiring and training process of new employees.
  • Assist worldwide sales team in closing jobs either in person or over the phone.
  • May involve direct interface with the Level One/Principal/Owner of the aircraft.
  • Provide financial guidance for Sales Director(s) to determine margin impact related to concessions and/or workscope changes.
  • Ensure standard product offerings are identified, submitted, maintained, and/or implemented into quoting activities.
  • Ensure established procedures are followed and assigned duties are aligned with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Ensure contractual, financial, and legal obligations are managed and administered to meet company policies and requirements.
  • Manage and support additional PS Sales related programs.
  • Mentor employees and create an environment of inclusion and diversity.
  • Assist employees with career development (i.e. goal settings).
  • Work with worldwide facility management and sales management to improve processes.
  • Understand strategic priorities and financial data; analyze and solve problems.
  • Work overtime as required by workload or travel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
