CS Early Intervention Assistant
About The Position
The Infant and Toddler Connection (ITC) of Greater Prince William is seeking a full-time Early Intervention Assistant (Clinical Services Caseworker Associate) to join our team of early intervention professionals who provide specialized services to eligible infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities. Our EI Assistants provide direct services to children and families to help them achieve their outcomes, providing services in their natural environment, during their daily activities and routines while using the coaching style of interaction to build their family’s capacity to support their infants’ and toddlers’ development; provide education to staff and families to empower them to help their infants’ and toddlers’ progress with developmental skills. Collaborate with a diverse team of EI Specialists and Service Coordinators to provide excellent services to the infants and toddlers in our community. Perform related work as required. Come grow with us and our infants and toddlers. Contribute to a strong interdisciplinary clinical team. Share your knowledge with staff and families to reach our program goal of helping infants and toddlers develop to their fullest potential. Prince William County Community Services is located within easy commuting distance from Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. This position qualifies for a $5,000 hiring bonus. This bonus will be paid in two equal installments. The first installment of $2,500 will be paid after you have completed 90 days of employment. The final $2,500 installment will be disbursed upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families
- 2 years’ experience with the birth to 3-year-old population
- Must have or be eligible for Part C Certification.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a DMV record check
- Must pass TB test
- Must pass and maintain first aid and CPR certification
- Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprint-based National Criminal History Record Check
- Must pass a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglect maintained by the Department of Social Services
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood special education, social work, psychology, counseling, or a related behavioral science field
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Previous Part C experience preferred
Responsibilities
