About The Position

Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Crystal Verification Technician to join our Howmet Casting located in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Afternoon position are Monday - Friday 3 PM – 11PM. Training on 1st Shift. This position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift. The Crystal Verification Tech has nonconforming product disposition authority to review product non-conformances as part of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Must pass visual exam
  • Must pass DS/SC level II exam for certification

  • Knowledge of how parts move though-out shop
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Good verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Performs visual, real time image computer and NDT inspection on single crystal castings.
  • Has nonconforming product disposition authority to review product non-conformances as part of continuous improvement.
  • Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals.
  • Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report all job related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
  • Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Attend all EHS training.
  • To visually inspect the grain integrity of SC and DS castings to specific customer requirements and with the aid of a real time image computer program, analyze the internal properties.
  • To perform any rework operations, e.g. belting, RX, spot etch, to complete the inspection process in an expeditious manner to meet customer schedules.
  • Performs other duties as might be assigned by supervision.
