About The Position

The Site Manager leads a team and oversees day-to-day operations at an active cryptocurrency mining data center. The role is responsible for creating productive, efficient facilities and fostering professionalism, operational excellence, and a positive workplace. The successful candidate understands cryptocurrency mining technology, supports business operations, ensures facilities operate efficiently, mitigates risk, and meets client needs.

The site operates 24x7, while the Site Manager works a single regular shift and is available for on-call response and after-hours escalations as operational needs require. This is an on-site role in an industrial, high-density environment with sustained high noise levels, elevated temperatures, high-voltage electrical systems, and continuous airflow. Required PPE, including hearing protection, must be worn.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and optimizing cryptocurrency mining operations, preferably in a large-scale facility.
• Strong knowledge of crypto mining hardware, mining software, and related technologies.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, including the ability to hire, engage, and lead a technical team.
• Understanding of data analysis and its application to optimizing mining operations.
• Strong proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware issues.
• Good understanding of network, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
• Proficiency with web-based programs, Excel, and word processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to change.
• Understanding of relevant regulatory and safety requirements, including OSHA, electrical safety, and PPE standards.
• Strong work ethic and ability to set a positive example for the team.
• Ability to partner effectively with key stakeholders and team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work for extended periods in the data center environment while wearing required PPE.
• Ability to walk, reach, climb, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all aspects of the cryptocurrency mining site.
• Lead the site mining operations team in a 24x7 operation to achieve operational excellence and SLA compliance.
• Hire, onboard, develop, and manage the Site Operations team; coach and provide feedback to team members.
• Oversee asset lifecycle management from data center arrival through RMA and retirement.
• Supervise on-site contractors, vendors, and service providers, and coordinate with the utility on power supply and site infrastructure matters.
• Manage operations within the allocated budget, optimize resource allocation, monitor power consumption and energy costs, and execute load curtailment in coordination with the utility and operations leadership.
• Oversee safety training and ensure employees follow safety rules and procedures.
• Develop goals for the performance and evolution of the data center.
• Support the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operation Procedures (EOPs).
• Define, maintain, and enforce data center performance metrics, including fleet uptime, hashrate, and operational efficiency targets.
• Ensure timely and accurate repairs of miners, PDUs, network systems, and cooling infrastructure.
• Ensure employees are trained to perform their assigned jobs.
