About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role operates, monitors, and adjusts crushing equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. It involves performing routine inspections and basic maintenance, supporting material handling activities, and identifying/communicating equipment or safety issues promptly. The position requires following all safety procedures to maintain a compliant and hazard-free worksite.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment or industrial machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail with the capability to monitor equipment performance.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding, outdoor, and fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following established procedures.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust crushing equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance to keep equipment running reliably.
  • Support material handling activities, including loading, stockpiling, and clean‑up.
  • Identify and communicate equipment or safety issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety procedures to maintain a compliant and hazard‑free worksite.
