Independently performs routine and specialized overnight and day sleep studies. Responsibilities include performing overnight and day sleep studies on a variety of patients across all age groups (excluding neonates and infants). The role involves explaining testing procedures, monitoring patient comfort and safety, obtaining medical history, adjusting equipment, preparing patients, maintaining equipment, scoring sleep studies, and generating reports. The position also requires attending workshops to stay updated on sleep disorder trends, adapting to emergencies and changing workloads, communicating via email and with colleagues, performing disinfection, adhering to standard precautions and hand hygiene, and performing technical procedures safely and effectively. Accountability includes meeting department goals and adhering to DCH Values, Mission, and Vision. Performance, patient and employee satisfaction, and financial standards must be maintained as outlined in the performance evaluation. Compliance with the Employee Handbook and DCH Behavioral Standards is required, ensuring positive relationships and safety for patients, visitors, and employees. Use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software, and the intranet is necessary. All DCH Health System policies and procedures must be followed, along with any other assigned duties.
