About The Position

This role is for a CRR Salaried position at Chartwell, focusing on public relations, brand communication, and media relations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for seniors, building trusting relationships, and creating memorable experiences. The position offers flexible hours, a hybrid work model with 1-2 days in the Montreal office, and is an enriching, training-focused role for an 18-month maternity leave replacement. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately five years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in media relations, internal and external communications, social media, and content creation.
  • Excellent command of French, both oral and written, and good command of English.
  • Experience with content management and social media platforms.
  • Agency experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support public relations, brand communication, and media relations initiatives in line with organizational priorities.
  • Advise internal partners and residence teams on communication messages and tools.
  • Develop, write, revise, and adapt corporate, media, internal, digital, and marketing content.
  • Build relationships with the media, identify visibility opportunities, coordinate media activities, prepare spokespersons, and respond to inquiries.
  • Manage the social media content calendar, including creating, publishing, and optimizing content across Chartwell's platforms.
  • Monitor social media, online reviews, and community engagement to identify reputational risks and ensure appropriate responses.
  • Support senior executives in creating and publishing content on their social media platforms.
  • Support the management of residence Facebook pages.
  • Stay informed about new trends and recommend strategies to enhance Chartwell's online presence.
  • Coordinate communications related to the charitable organization, including internal announcements, social media content, blog posts, media relations, and public relations initiatives highlighting the impact of realized dreams for seniors.
