About The Position

To provide a safe environment for students when crossing the street. Regulates pedestrian crossing at school entrance to maintain an orderly flow. Provides a safe environment for students when crossing the street before and after school. Communicates effectively with GISD staff, building administrators, parents, and the community. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to regulate pedestrian crossing at school entrance to maintain an orderly flow.
• Ability to provide a safe environment for students when crossing the street before and after school.
• Ability to communicate effectively with GISD staff, building administrators, parents, and the community.
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
