About The Position
The City of Novi Police Department is seeking a responsible individual to serve as a Crossing Guard on an as-needed basis. This role primarily involves ensuring the safety of children crossing the street during school commute times. The approximate hours are 7:45-8:15 a.m. and 3:00-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the schedule dependent on the school calendar. Applications are currently being accepted for alternate Crossing Guard positions.
Requirements
- Must be 17 years of age or older.
- Must be mentally alert.
- Must have good moral character.
- Must have a sense of responsibility for the safety of children.
- Completion of an online application is required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of children crossing the street during school commute times.
- Perform duties as a Crossing Guard as needed.
