About The Position
The City of Novi Police Department is seeking a responsible individual to serve as a Crossing Guard on an as-needed basis. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety of children traveling to and from school. The approximate working hours are from 7:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with variations dependent on the school schedule. The department is currently accepting applications for alternate Crossing Guard positions.
Requirements
- Must be 17 years of age or older.
- Must be mentally alert.
- Must have good moral character.
- Must have a sense of responsibility for the safety of children.
Responsibilities
- Perform the duties of a Crossing Guard.
- Ensure the safety of children.
- Direct traffic as needed.
