About The Position
As a Cross-Trained Dental Assistant, you’ll play a key role in both clinical and administrative support, helping ensure a seamless patient experience from start to finish. You’ll work closely with dentists, hygienists, assistants, and front office staff in a dynamic, team-driven environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience (required)
- Cross-training experience or willingness to learn both clinical and admin tasks
- Strong computer and dental software skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of compliance with dental regulations and standards
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Assist in all clinical procedures (four-handed dentistry, room setup/breakdown, sterilization)
- Take high-quality X-rays and support patient care during procedures
- Support hygienists with preventative and periodontal treatments
- Assist with charting and treatment planning
- Contribute to inventory, lab coordination, and supply management
- Help with front-office duties as needed (cross-training component)
- Deliver a warm, family-like experience for every patient
- Participate in opening and closing duties as a team
