This role operates, calibrates, installs, programs, repairs, designs, and fabricates instrumentation and data acquisition systems. The associate will design, develop, and document new data acquisition systems, serving as an expert in hardware and software systems. Responsibilities include coordinating and setting up tests, troubleshooting problems, and scheduling/prioritizing projects to produce optimal results by interfacing with internal and external customers, as well as support groups within the company. The role involves specifying, purchasing, and maintaining equipment, fabricating prototypes, and designing and executing field tests. The associate will use general tools such as digital multimeters, soldering irons, function generators, and frequency generators, and will read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams. Communication of technical information to a diverse customer base, participation in the maintenance of quality procedures, and development and conducting of training programs are also key aspects of this position. The associate will serve as company representatives to customers, suppliers, and outside agencies, and interact effectively with employees throughout the company. Adaptability, responsiveness to changing work needs, willingness to undertake new tasks, and leadership in improvement projects are expected. The associate will manage their own work, adjust priorities to meet demands, participate in audits, and engage in continuous learning. Other duties as required will also be performed.
