About The Position

This is a full-time leadership position with a schedule based on operational and customer requirements. The role requires flexibility to support cross-dock operations across the United States and Mexico, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate. The position supports multiple cross-dock operations across the United States and Mexico. International travel of up to 40% may be required to visit, audit, and support internal and 3PL facilities. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a willingness to work alongside dock and warehouse teams when operational support or backup is needed. The role may require working in warehouse and cross-dock environments, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise, moving equipment, and active dock operations. Schedule flexibility may be required based on customer requirements, operational needs, and service-level commitments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related technical field required.
  • 4–6 years of progressive leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, cross-dock operations, or a related environment.
  • Experience managing automotive logistics, including Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery and/or sequenced parts.
  • Direct experience managing third-party logistics providers and multi-site operations.
  • Proven experience managing US-Mexico cross-border logistics, customs requirements, and Mexican logistics providers.
  • Advanced knowledge of WMS, TMS, and supply chain analytics platforms.
  • Strong understanding of operational KPIs, SLAs, financial performance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex logistics data into actionable strategies.

  • Professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for customers, manage escalations, lead MBRs and QBRs, monitor network KPIs, and develop corrective action plans to maintain service-level expectations.
  • Manage and hold third-party cross-dock providers accountable to established KPIs and SLAs, conduct operational and financial audits, resolve escalations, and drive strong vendor performance.
  • Optimize throughput across internal and 3PL operations, ensure automotive freight moves within required production windows, manage US-Mexico cross-border flow, plan for capacity needs, and standardize SOPs across the network.
  • Oversee WMS and TMS processes, use data and analytics to drive operational decisions, and lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, accuracy, and minimizing freight damage.
  • Own the cross-dock operations budget, drive cost-per-unit reductions and operational efficiency, provide leadership to regional management, and promote a culture of safety, accountability, service, results, and continuous improvement.
