La Jolla Country Day School seeks an enthusiastic, high-energy Cross Country coach for our Middle School team during the Fall 2026 season. This coach will lead and develop a positive, inclusive running program for student-athletes in grades 7 and 8. Responsibilities include planning and conducting practices, teaching proper running techniques, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork, supervising athletes at practices and meets, communicating with students and families, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Middle School coaches must be available on School days beginning at 2:00 pm for practice with their team, and will travel with the team to any away competitions. LJCDS has a long-standing tradition of athletic excellence, with a nationally recognized program that develops student-athletes both in competition and in character. Our athletics program enriches the educational experience by offering a wide variety of team and individual sports that emphasize sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, resilience, and personal growth.
