About The Position

The Cross-Campus Director of Culture & Climate is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a positive, safe, and inclusive school culture across both Intrinsic campuses. This leader serves as the primary steward of student culture systems, ensuring alignment with Intrinsic’s mission, values, and expectations while fostering an environment where students and staff can thrive. The Director of Culture & Climate supports campus-based culture teams, supports student behavior and attendance systems, oversees restorative practices, and partners closely with school leadership to promote student engagement and belonging. In addition, this role serves as the Title IX Coordinator for the Downtown Campus and provides strategic oversight of the athletic programs at both campuses, including direct supervision and coaching of Athletic Directors.

Requirements

  • Prior K-12 Principal experience is required. Candidates who have not served as a Principal in a K-12 setting will not be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five years of successful experience in education, including serving as a Principal.
  • Demonstrated success in building positive school culture and improving student outcomes.
  • Knowledge of restorative practices, student discipline systems, and school climate improvement strategies.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple campuses.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Administrative licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience serving as a Title IX Coordinator or conducting Title IX investigations.
  • Experience supervising athletic programs and coaching school leaders.
  • Experience working in a high-performing urban charter school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent implementation of behavior expectations, restorative practices, and student support systems.
  • Analyze culture-related data, including attendance, behavior, suspensions, and student climate survey results, to identify trends and drive improvement.
  • Lead cross-campus initiatives focused on student belonging, engagement, and social-emotional development.
  • Partner with principals and leadership teams to create safe, welcoming, and academically focused learning environments.
  • Support the development and implementation of student incentives, recognition systems, and community-building programs.
  • Refine systems for monitoring culture systems and outcomes - may include walkthrough protocols and culture rubrics
  • Serve as the hearing officer for expulsion hearings.
  • Build strong partnerships with students, families, and community stakeholders
  • Support family communication and conflict resolution related to culture and climate concerns.
  • Collaborate with counselors, social workers, deans, and special education teams to ensure comprehensive student support.
  • Ensure equitable and restorative approaches to student discipline and support.
  • Serve as the designated Title IX Coordinator for the Downtown Campus.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local Title IX regulations.
  • Coordinate investigations of Title IX complaints and oversee resolution processes.
  • Maintain required records, documentation, and reporting procedures.
  • Provide training to staff and students regarding Title IX rights, responsibilities, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and school leadership regarding compliance matters.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of athletic programs at both campuses.
  • Ensure alignment of athletic programs with Intrinsic’s mission, values, and student experience goals.
  • Monitor athletic participation, eligibility, safety protocols, and program quality.
  • Support the development of student-athlete leadership opportunities and positive sportsmanship initiatives.
  • Oversee budgeting, scheduling, facilities coordination, and compliance with athletic association requirements.
  • Foster partnerships with coaches, families, and community organizations to strengthen athletic programming.
  • Develop campus culture leaders and other assigned staff.
  • Design and facilitate professional development related to culture, restorative practices, student engagement, and equity.
  • Participate as a member of the school's leadership team and contribute to strategic planning efforts.
