About The Position

Based in Miami, USA, the Cross Border Trade Shipping Specialist joins Mercado Envíos’ US Cross-Border First Mile team. The role ensures that outbound operations—from seller pickup to Miami consolidation and air departure—run on time, within cost, and at expected service levels. It oversees first-mile transportation operations, Miami Cross-Dock performance, service compliance, provider coordination, operational visibility, and the evolution of the network.

Requirements

Experience in transportation operations, logistics, or supply chain, with hands-on exposure to first mile, linehaul, cross-docking, or fulfillment center operations and SLA accountability.
Strong analytical skills, including working with operational data, detecting deviations, and translating findings into concrete action plans.
SQL proficiency, including the ability to independently query databases, cross-reference data, and build monitoring views without BI or data engineering support.
Experience supervising third-party providers such as 3PLs, carriers, or logistics operators, including performance reviews and SLA enforcement.
Excellent communication skills for internal reporting and operational leadership with providers.
Fluent English; the operation is 100% English-language with US providers.

Responsibilities

Supervise end-to-end first-mile operations in the US, ensuring on-time Line Haul arrivals and departures and accurate carrier assignment across active lanes.
Ensure Drop Off Points are operational and connect cargo to MIA according to agreements, resolving deviations in real time.
Oversee the third-party Cross-Dock in Miami, ensuring daily seller pickups occur within agreed windows and validating vehicle capacities.
Monitor service-level, KPI, and SLA compliance at the Miami Cross-Dock, coordinating capacity for volume fluctuations and peak demand.
Develop tracking reports to provide real-time visibility and anticipate risks.
Lead daily provider calls focused on incident management and service improvement.
Contribute to designing new flows as the modular network evolves.
Partner with Control Tower, FC Operations, and International Linehaul teams to ensure end-to-end continuity.
