About The Position
This 6-day out Midwest U.S. schedule departs Wednesday and averages 2,500 to 2,700 miles per week. The role involves departing Mississauga to deliver in Thunder Bay, then reloading southbound out of Thunder Bay into the Midwest U.S. and returning to Ontario. Driving on Highway 17 in Ontario is required 12 months of the year. Additional work may be available based on freight and Hours of Service (HOS). Freight and destinations may vary based on operational requirements. A Midwest short haul pay-package and a $0.13/mile Northern Ontario premium applies.
Requirements
- Must be U.S. qualified
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Company Driver with 24 months tractor trailer experience
- Must have a valid Class 1/AZ license
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual
- Strong communication skills
- Values safety
- Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
Responsibilities
- Depart Mississauga to deliver in Thunder Bay
- Reload southbound out of Thunder Bay into the Midwest U.S. and return to Ontario
