This position requires owner-operators to be on the road for 10 to 14 days at a time, averaging 10,000 to 12,000 miles per month. Drivers will be available for dispatch 24 days a month, with resets taken on the road as required. The role involves running open-board, Canada/U.S. long-haul freight. Southbound freight can depart from any Bison location into the lower 48 states, and northbound freight can go into any Canadian province or territory. Specific driving requirements include driving 17 in Ontario 12 months a year and driving U.S. Mountains 12 months of the year. Regional freight will also be required. The schedule is flexible, requiring weekend departures, and drivers must be able to haul all commodities, including meat and alcohol.
