About The Position

This Open-board Canada/U.S. long-haul position requires you to be on the road 5 to 10 days at a time, averaging 20K miles per week, available for dispatch 24 days a month. Resets on the road as required. Southbound freight could depart into any of the lower 48 states. Northbound freight could go into any of the Canadian Provinces and Territories. Required to drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months of the year and required to drive U.S. Mountains 12 months of the year. Regional freight will be required. Flexible schedule requiring weekend departures. Must be able to haul all commodities including meat and alcohol.

Requirements

• Owner-Operator with 24 months tractor-trailer experience
• Tractor must be equipped with a DEF system
• Must be U.S. qualified
• Minimum of 6 months U.S. driving experience
• Minimum of 6 months Highway 17 experience
• Must be able to work weekends
• Must have a valid Class 1/AZ License
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Reliable, flexible, and punctual
• Strong communication skills
• Values safety
• Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse

• Driver assist is required on occasion
