About The Position

This is an open-board Canada/U.S. long-haul position requiring drivers to be on the road 5 to 10 days at a time, averaging 20,000 miles per month. Southbound freight can go into any of the lower 48 states, and northbound freight can go into any of the Canadian Provinces and Territories. Drivers will be required to drive on Highway 17 in Ontario and U.S. Mountains 12 months of the year. The assigned unit requires 24 days on the road per month, and regional freight might be required. Requirements

• 24 months of tractor-trailer experience
• Qualified team partner
• Valid Class 1/AZ License
• Eligible to drive in the U.S.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Reliable, flexible, and punctual
• Strong communication skills
• Values safety
• Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse

Responsibilities

• Drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months of the year
• Drive U.S. Mountains 12 months of the year
• Be on the road 5 to 10 days at a time
• Haul all commodities
• Operate a tractor-trailer for long-haul routes between Canada and the U.S.
