About The Position

Seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Crop Department Manager to join a team. This is a newly created position designed to support the growth of the organization and streamline the workflow within the Crop Insurance department. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in crop insurance, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage and mentor a team. This role offers the flexibility of being remote, with occasional travel to the office.

Requirements

Minimum of 7+ years in crop insurance.
Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
Proficiency in EPIC software is highly preferred.
Strong leadership abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Must be outgoing, resilient, and capable of making tough decisions.

Nice To Haves

Managerial experience.
Crop Insurance license.
Relevant educational background in insurance, business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of 35+ professionals, including Account Managers and Assistants, within the Crop Insurance department.
Oversee the quoting and renewal process for crop insurance accounts ranging from $1,000 to $500,000 in size.
Ensure the efficient handling of the department’s book of business and policies.
Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering professional growth and development.
Collaborate with the Director of Account Managers and other leadership to implement strategies for departmental success.
Utilize EPIC and CSR24 software to manage workflows and ensure operational efficiency.
