About The Position

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as an Crop Inputs Manager based in Marwayne, Alberta. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the operation of a crop input facility and/or agricultural application equipment.
  • Post-secondary education in an ag-related, science or business field.
  • Experience in team management or supervision, demonstrating effective leadership abilities.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient computer skills with aptitude for learning and adapting to new software applications.
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills including working collaboratively with other business areas and departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and operation of a profitable crop inputs business.
  • Provide direction to sales and operational staff in the implementation and delivery of annual and seasonal plans.
  • Oversee business development and customer service operations of the facility.
  • Grow the volume of the crop inputs business with existing customers and proactively seek out new business opportunities.
  • Monitor market developments and updates to determine competitive price offerings.
  • Perform a hands-on approach to the set up and operation of the chemical and fertilizer facilities.
  • Perform regular maintenance and repair on facility equipment.
  • Supervise and develop facility operators and truck drivers to ensure operations are safe, efficient, and profitable.
  • Oversee all audits, safety programs and the daily operations of the facility.
  • Assist with hiring full-time and seasonal operational staff.
  • Perform all operational duties required at the facility as needed.
