About The Position
Crop Care Workers garden, pick, and process tomatoes in a year-round, state-of-the-art greenhouse to help ensure produce meets high standards of quality and efficiency. Training is provided and ongoing. The role involves following company rules and regulations, food safety guidelines, and health and safety requirements, and reporting issues, pests, and disease to a supervisor. Work hours and schedules may fluctuate based on crop demands, and flexible hours may be needed during periods of fast growth.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, and good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work around bees.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in the agriculture or restaurant industry.
Responsibilities
- Garden, pick, and process tomatoes.
- Handle equipment and tools with care and respect.
- Report issues to a supervisor.
- Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness to meet food safety requirements.
- Follow company rules and regulations, food safety guidelines, and health and safety requirements.
- Report pests and disease to a supervisor, including the type, location, and extent of infestation.
- Work flexible hours when needed to finish work during periods of fast growth.
- May operate a trolley to reach produce as high as 20 feet.
