About The Position

Crop Care Workers garden, pick, and process tomatoes in a year-round greenhouse to help ensure produce meets quality and efficiency standards. Training is provided and ongoing. The role involves following food-safety, health, and safety requirements; maintaining hygiene and cleanliness; caring for equipment and tools; and reporting equipment issues, pests, and diseases to a supervisor. Work takes place in a fast-paced greenhouse environment, with hours and schedules that fluctuate according to crop demands.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in the agriculture or restaurant industry.

Responsibilities

• Garden, pick, and process tomatoes in the greenhouse.
• Work flexible hours when needed to complete work during periods of fast growth.
• May operate a trolley to reach produce located as high as 20 feet.
• Handle equipment and tools carefully and respectfully, and report issues to a supervisor.
• Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness to meet food-safety requirements.
• Follow company rules and regulations, food-safety guidelines, and health and safety requirements.
• Report pests and diseases to a supervisor, including their type, location, and infestation.
