Great American is currently seeking an Associate Underwriting Supervisor in our Fargo, ND office. Position level is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Great American’s culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site five days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely after one year of employment.

Requirements

Associates Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Generally, a minimum of 6 years of underwriting experience or a related field.
Requires a minimum of 2 reports.
Responsible for overseeing team priorities and coordinating daily tasks.
May occasionally perform tasks alongside direct reports.
Provides training to new team members.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the daily activities of the Associate Underwriting team, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
Reviews processing of new underwriting applications, ensuring they align with Company policies and underwriting guidelines.
Reviews comprehensive risk assessments, policy statuses, and portfolio performance to ensure accuracy.
Oversees the preparation and maintenance of underwriting files, ensuring all documents and approvals are properly filed.
Facilitates effective communication with agents and customers to obtain information needed to underwrite risks and address issues.
Requests or generates management reports to monitor and evaluate unit performance, client satisfaction, and other key business metrics.
Oversees data entry and processing to ensure integrity and prevent potential systemic issues.
Leads opportunities to streamline procedures and enhance efficiency.
Ensures compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
Provides technical guidance and training to clients on safety practices and regulatory compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
