About The Position

This role is for a dynamic, results-oriented professional seeking a challenging and rewarding career at HUB. As a Crop Account Manager, you will service new and existing accounts according to HUB Broker Standards and policies/procedures. You will complement Sales Executive responsibilities in the surrounding states (mainly MN, ND, SD, IA, and NE) for new business development and existing client perpetuation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university preferred
  • At least two years of experience related to property and casualty account management preferred
  • Experience with Epic or other insurance related software preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of minimum qualifications
  • State property and casualty insurance license, or ability to obtain, required
  • Knowledge of insurance agency operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with a great attitude, self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Must be thorough, detail-oriented and is responsible for working with confidential information
  • Ability to accommodate immediate requests, perform under short deadlines and coordinate multiple jobs
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Work with client/sales executive in gathering marketing data for new and renewal quotes
  • Obtain quotes from carriers for new and existing business
  • Provide exceptional service with accuracy and timeliness in processing all policy documents
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carrier representatives and remain educated on carrier products and services
  • Maintain quotes, client/carrier correspondence and updated client information in agency management system
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of carrier online systems for obtaining quotes, mapping, billing information, general processing, etc.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve service issues
  • May be involved in training of new hires
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell
  • Assist in the process of claims to the extent of following industry standards for the carrier/client
  • Contact clients as requested to set up appointments or answer questions
  • Maintain/update client data/activities on agency management systems for new policies/renewal policies/carrier downloads
  • Broaden knowledge of the industry with continuing education
  • Follow HUB Broker Standards policies/procedures
  • Other duties may be assigned
