About The Position

The Staff Pad is partnering with a hospital in Las Vegas, NM, to hire a dependable and experienced CRNA. This role involves providing safe, high-quality anesthesia care for a variety of surgical and pain management procedures. The CRNA will administer anesthesia for low-acuity general surgery, orthopedic procedures, and endoscopic procedures (60% of the role). Additionally, the CRNA will provide anesthesia and procedural support for interventional pain management, including epidurals, nerve blocks, and other acute and chronic pain management procedures (40% of the role). The youngest patients may be 5 years of age for ENT procedures and 12 years of age for general surgery and orthopedic cases. This is a full-time position with no call responsibilities.

Requirements

Master’s or doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program
Current, active, and unencumbered RN and CRNA licensure in the State of New Mexico
Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
Minimum of 2 years of clinical CRNA experience, ideally including independent practice and pain management
High proficiency in airway management, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, and spinal/epidural techniques

Responsibilities

Provide safe administration of general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for scheduled and emergency cases
Perform advanced interventional pain techniques, including epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, and peripheral nerve blocks
Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, develop individualized anesthetic plans, and manage patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Exercise full-scope, independent practice authority as permitted by New Mexico state regulations and hospital bylaws
Follow applicable AANA standards, accreditation requirements, OSHA regulations, infection control protocols and DEA regulations
