The CRNA will provide professional medical services and treatment of patients within the area of medical specialty of anesthesia supervision and management activities in accordance with prevailing standards of care. This role ensures anesthesia coverage for the Hospital 24/7. Responsibilities include administering general anesthetics, monitoring vital signs, managing patient airways, and ensuring a near-normal physiological status for patients. The CRNA is also responsible for preoperative and postoperative patient evaluations, acute pain management, and ordering/interpreting various medical studies. Additionally, the role involves determining, setting up, and preparing necessary drugs, supplies, and equipment for anesthetic administration, ensuring all equipment functions properly and safely. Maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory requirements (JCAHO/CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.) is paramount. The CRNA will perform and maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and interventions, communicate effectively with healthcare team members, and promote patient and staff safety in all aspects of their responsibilities.
