The CRNA will provide professional medical services and treatment of patients within the area of medical specialty of anesthesia supervision and management activities in accordance with prevailing standards of care. This role ensures anesthesia coverage for the Hospital 24/7. Responsibilities include administering general anesthetics, establishing and maintaining airways, monitoring vital signs, assisting in patient transport, and managing preoperative and postoperative evaluations. The CRNA will also monitor acute pain management, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and monitor patients using various medical equipment. Additionally, the role involves determining, setting up, and preparing necessary drugs, supplies, and equipment for anesthesia administration, ensuring the availability of blood for emergencies, and consulting with physicians on high-risk factors. Maintaining patient confidentiality, complying with regulatory requirements (JCAHO/CMS, HIPAA, OSHA), and performing accurate documentation using an electronic medical record system are crucial. Effective communication with healthcare team members, promoting patient and staff safety, and performing other duties as assigned are also key aspects of this position.
