About The Position
The CRNA provides all aspects of anesthesia care to patients at St. Tammany Health System. When on call, the CRNA must be available in-house within 30 minutes. The position requires good physical health and the ability to work with a moderate level of noise, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- Hold a license to practice anesthesia in Louisiana as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
- Be board certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- Maintain current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications through courses provided by an International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) member organization. The courses must include a manikin check-off.
- Be available in-house within 30 minutes when on call.
- Possess good physical health.
- Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
