CRNA (Per Diem)
About The Position
Provide all aspects of anesthesia care to patients at St. Tammany Health System. When on call, the CRNA must be available in-house within 30 minutes. This is a per-diem position with weekly hours to be determined. The role requires good physical health and the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work with a moderate level of noise. Physical effort includes constant reaching, handling/feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing; frequent lifting and pushing/pulling; and occasional carrying, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, and crawling. Staff members are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with St. Tammany Health System’s mission, vision, and values. The organization is an equal opportunity employer.
Requirements
- Hold a license to practice anesthesia in Louisiana as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
- Be board certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- Maintain current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications through an ILCOR-provided course; the course must include a manikin checkoff.
- Possess good physical health.
- Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
- Meet the physical effort requirements described: constant reaching, handling/feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing; frequent lifting and pushing/pulling; and occasional carrying, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, and crawling.
