About The Position

The Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) leverages technology to drive opportunity, improve public safety, and help government run better across New York City. From delivering affordable broadband to protecting against cybersecurity threats and building digital government services, OTI is at the forefront of how the City delivers for New Yorkers in the 21st century. This position supports the delivery and ongoing maintenance of mission-critical HRO IT initiatives, including the Back Home projects and the Damage Recovery Portal. Additional development capacity is required to meet firm delivery timelines, ensure system reliability and security, and reduce operational and project delivery risk.

Requirements

NYC Residency is required within 90 days of appointment.
Taking and passing civil service exams are necessary to maintain employment with the City of New York.
Permanent employee in the civil service title listed on this posting, or file for the examination when there is an open filing period.

Nice To Haves

Interested applicants with other civil service titles who meet the preferred requirements should also submit a resume for consideration.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain system customizations, plugins, workflows, and integrations.
Build front-end solutions using JavaScript, React, and PowerApps, and back-end services using .NET, C#, and Web APIs.
Partner with architects and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions.
Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
