About The Position

Vantage is collecting applications for future Critical Facilities Engineer openings; the timeline for talent conversations is undetermined. This is an in-house, onsite role in Ashburn, Virginia, within the Site Operations Department. The department is responsible for the health and performance of data center mechanical and electrical systems, building maintenance, and data modules. Site Operations teams work onsite 24/7, with Critical Facility Engineers on each shift, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance using a Critical Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The Critical Facilities Engineer works with a team of electrical- and mechanical-focused engineers to maintain and repair data center infrastructure, protect uptime, and provide high-quality customer service. This is a hands-on role focused on troubleshooting and repairing equipment in-house. The position may suit candidates with data center, mission-critical field service, military, or other electrical and mechanical field experience. Levels I or II are being considered. The role includes operating and maintaining critical facility systems, coordinating maintenance vendors, developing reliability reports, and preparing procedures for maintenance and emergency work. It requires flexibility to respond to changing priorities and emergencies, and willingness to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and on-call support.
