About The Position

This is a high-impact role supporting one of the largest and most visible data center portfolios. The team is actively expanding. The role involves performing hands-on operations and maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, controls, and life-safety systems. It requires responding to facility alarms, equipment faults, and emergency situations using established procedures. The engineer will complete work orders and documentation in the enterprise asset management system (Hexagon), conduct routine inspections, identify abnormal conditions, and recommend system upgrades. Additionally, the role includes supporting vendor oversight, parts ordering, and maintenance scheduling. Utilizing BMS and monitoring tools in a control-room environment to diagnose issues and dispatch resources is also a key part of the position. Participation in PQS (Personnel Qualification Standards) training is expected to build deep technical expertise.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or technical maintenance OR an associate/bachelor’s degree with equivalent industry experience
  • Ability to lift 45+ lbs, work in physical environments, and perform hands-on tasks
  • Experience reading plans, specifications, and equipment documentation
  • Familiarity with building systems, safety procedures, and troubleshooting practices

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to critical environments (data centers, pharma, clean rooms, hospitals, power plants, etc.)
  • Knowledge of BMS/EPMS, CMMS/EAM systems, and life-safety controls
  • Trade certifications (Electrical or HVAC)
  • Experience with blueprints, CAD drawings, or technical documentation
