About The Position

The MICU Paramedic functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence. The MICU paramedic provides advanced emergency/critical care in conjunction with a CareFlight Nurse during transport and may also provide patient care for patients in Miami Valley Hospital and any Premier Health facility where a Mobile Intensive Care Unit is based. The CareFlight MICU paramedic works with all populations of patients. This position also includes public relations and medical education functions.

Requirements

• High School completion / GED
• Certified as a Paramedic in the State of Ohio
• Paramedic in the State of Ohio
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required at the time of hire
• ITLS or PHTLS certifications required within 90 days of hire
• NRP, ATLS (audit) certifications required within 1 year of hire
• CAMTS approved professional certification required within 2 years of hire
• Minimum 3 years of full time Paramedic experience required
