As a Critical Care Tech you will perform direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with an RN or Physician. While in this position you will be responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating and collaborating with the team to meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient. You will place orders, receive & stock supplies for the department/unit, and assist support staff with filing, medical records and daily tasks as assigned. The Critical Care Technician (CCT) plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. Working under the direct supervision and in close collaboration with the Registered Nurse (RN), the CCT performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities. This position requires strong technical skills, compassion, and the ability to maintain a calm and effective demeanor in a fast-paced environment. The CCT contributes significantly to patient comfort, safety, and the overall efficiency of the care team. Welcome to the 3rd floor Med Surg Unit at St. Anthony Hospital, a Magnet® designated, level one trauma center. The third floor is a new 16 bed surgical unit specializing in post-operative care for general elective surgical cases. Our patients have a wide range of diagnoses requiring planned surgical intervention. A good candidate for the 3rd floor would be someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and teamwork. Our surgical unit lends itself to developing great relationships with our coworkers and we work together to provide excellent patient care.
