Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program, and Masters of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN)
Current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
Maintains BLS and ACLS Certifications.
Hold a current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or hold a current multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse.
Nationally recognized certification in field of specialization

Responsibilities

Round on critically ill patients in the ICU
Perform admissions and consultations
Manage medications and treatment plans
Perform procedures including: Central line placement, Arterial line placement, Intubation, Chest tube placement, Thoracentesis, Lumbar puncture, Bronchoscopy, Paracentesis
