This is a full-time position for a Critical Care/ER Tech working a 0.9 night shift, every other weekend and every other holiday. The role involves carrying out technical, direct patient care skills to assist Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care (CC) staff RNs and/or physicians. Responsibilities include operating equipment, interpreting cardiac rhythms, performing quality control checks for point of care tests, basic pulse oximetry and incentive spirometry, collecting specimens, applying restraints, performing CPR, and transporting patients and supplies. The role also includes assisting nurses with patient care and discharge, providing AM or PM care, performing post-mortem care, and ensuring departmental cleanliness and supply availability. The position requires demonstration of complete, accurate, professional communication, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to teaching/learning and organizational goals.
