About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an experienced fulltime Critical Care Dietitian III to join our team at Wellstar MCG in Augusta, GA. Wellstar, a 517-bed adult hospital, is a Level 1 Trauma academic hospital with 68 adult critical care beds. Our RDs have order writing privileges! Requirements

Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in GA (required prior to starting in this role)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player
A track record of proactive interaction with the medical team and be an outstanding team player with strong demonstrated leadership skills.
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
7+ months general supervision
3 years experienced specialized practitioner in a clinical specialty

Nice To Haves

5+ years or more experience preferred

Responsibilities

Primarily will cover cardiac intensive care, cardiac unit and other units as assigned
Provide comprehensive nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
Weekend coverage expectation is 1-2 days per month
Provide nutritional counseling and education to patients and families
As a member of the multidisciplinary team, educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
Precept dietetic interns
