About The Position

Easterseals Iowa is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Crisis Stabilization Center. As a Crisis Stabilization Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and families experiencing mental health crises. Our program operates both at our serene Camp Sunnyside location and within the community. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment. You will deliver skill-building interventions that help children and families manage crises and build long-term resilience. You will also partner with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement stabilization and WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) strategies, and work closely with other supports and service providers to ensure families receive comprehensive support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (psychology, social work, nursing, education, etc.) + 1 year of behavioral/mental health experience OR a bachelor’s degree in another field + 2 years of behavioral/mental health experience OR 2 years of behavioral/mental health experience
• Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided if working in the community)
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• Insurability under Easterseals vehicle policy
• Access to a phone for support needs

Nice To Haves

• Experience in crisis services is highly preferred
