About The Position

CRCSI is seeking a Part-Time Crisis Specialist to support individuals and families in crisis throughout Fayette County. This role involves answering crisis calls, providing walk-in and mobile crisis services, conducting mental health assessments, supporting individuals experiencing various crises, and connecting them with community resources. Accurate and timely documentation is also a key part of the role. Mobile crisis services are completed using a company vehicle.

Requirements

Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills
Sound clinical judgment and attention to detail
Passion for serving individuals during moments of crisis
Ability to work primarily evening shifts with rotating weekend coverage
Bachelor’s degree in a mental health–related field is required
Valid driver’s license required and must meet company insurance coverage requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain: FBI Criminal Background Clearance, PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, Mandated Reporter Training

Responsibilities

Answer local and national crisis calls, including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
Provide walk-in support and mobile crisis services throughout Fayette County, PA
Conduct mental health assessments using evidence-based practices
Support individuals experiencing mental health crises, substance use relapse, domestic violence, or reentry challenges
Utilize de-escalation techniques and assist with individualized crisis planning
Connect individuals with essential community resources such as housing, treatment, and case management
Complete accurate and timely documentation in required systems
