About The Position

This member of the Crisis Response Team has responsibility to carry out rehabilitation and support functions and to assist in treatment, education, support, consultation, and crisis intervention under the clinical supervision of staff with professional degrees. Must have flexible scheduling available.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health related field.
  • Excellent writing skills required.
  • Licensure or license eligible by one of the following: KY Board of Psychology, KY Board of Professional Counseling, KY Board of Social Work, or KY Board of Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Capability of responding to crisis in the community in locales which may not be handicapped accessible.
  • Willing and able to travel inside and outside of the region.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Willing and able to work a non-traditional, flexible work schedule, occasionally including weekend hours

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling within framework of Crisis Response Team.
  • Provide service coordination for an assigned group of Crisis Response Team clients.
  • Participate in client-centered comprehensive assessment of Crisis Response Team clients.
  • Consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination of treatment process.
  • Provide on-call crisis intervention services related to Crisis Response Team.
  • Document client progress to maintain a permanent record of client activity according to established methods and procedures.
  • Participate in daily crisis staffing/rounds.
  • Provision of Psychoeducational programming.
  • Assist/educate clients towards the development of independent activities of daily living.
  • Coordinate and provide daily oversight of 988 staff and Crisis Response Team members to ensure effective coverage, quality service delivery, and adherence to protocols.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for 988 operations, supporting staff with clinical guidance, scheduling needs, and real-time problem solving.
  • Supervise and support crisis staff in the provision of telephonic (988), mobile, and in-person crisis intervention services.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, providing after-hours crisis consultation and support to staff and community partners.
  • Respond to and assist with walk-in crisis presentations, ensuring timely assessment, de-escalation, and coordination of appropriate level of care.
  • Maintain a reduced caseload (2–3 days per week) to provide direct clinical services including assessment, intervention, and follow-up care for individuals in crisis.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with documentation standards, 988 guidelines, and organizational policies.
  • Assist with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing coaching to promote skill development and high-quality crisis intervention practices.
  • Collaborate with leadership to evaluate program performance, identify service gaps, and implement improvements within 988 and crisis services.
  • Support scheduling coordination to ensure adequate staffing coverage across shifts, including weekends, holidays, and peak demand periods.
  • Facilitate communication between 988 staff, mobile crisis teams, and community partners to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including chart reviews and case consultations.
  • Perform other administrative and clinical duties as assigned to support program operations.
