About The Position

Center for Community Resources (CCR) is expanding its mental health services in Wayne County by opening a Crisis Stabilization Center that includes Crisis Intervention and Crisis Residential Services. The Crisis Residential facility is an 8-bed, 24/7 facility for individuals aged 18 and older experiencing mental health crises, offering a structured, supportive environment conducive to recovery. CCR is seeking mental health master’s level therapists to join the Crisis Residential team. In this role, you will be integral to providing quality Crisis Residential services within a supportive team environment, helping individuals access mental health services in Wayne County. CCR’s mission is connecting people to services, and this role directly supports that mission by improving the mental health and well-being of the community.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field.
  • At least two years of counseling experience.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and Act 33/34 and FBI clearances.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with clients and provide short-term, but effective therapeutic interventions.
  • Willingness to work with a diverse client population.
  • Knowledge of local agencies related to mental health, employment, housing, and other community resources.
  • Familiarity with the recovery model.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Time management skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility in scheduling.
  • Ability to work with team members and accept supervision.
  • Take initiative while being cooperative and empathetic.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • LPC, LCSW or LSW licensure in PA

Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized care plans based on the psychosocial assessments conducted during intake.
  • Schedule and provide ongoing, daily counseling services to individuals admitted to the crisis residential facility.
  • Coordinate with other members of the crisis residential multidisciplinary team to assist individuals with accessing community resources and meeting their treatment goals.
  • Provide input on the development of psychoeducational support groups and activities.
  • Collaborate in the development of discharge plans.
  • Teach and support the acquisition and utilization of recovery-oriented skills.
  • Provide supervision of individuals in treatment to ensure their safety and compliance with facility rules and requirements.
  • Engage in the supervision processes required for crisis residential therapists.
  • Maintain quality standards.
  • Document services provided to individuals.
  • Participate in continuous professional development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
